Covid numbers ontario new cases. Another 52,852 tests are under investigation. Saturday’s provincial count of new cases, 1,859, held that dubious distinction for only a day. Public health officials reported 1,780 new infections, down from 1,824 on thursday.

The province saw 1,822 new cases on saturday. A detailed breakdown of the cases will be released after 10 a.m. Twenty more deaths were also added to the pandemic’s.

Ontario is reporting 1,723 cases of #covid19. This set a new record for daily new cases, beating the one set on tuesday when the province reported 1,388 new cases. On friday, peel region reported 517 new cases, toronto reported 494 new cases and york region reported.

24 ontario has 534 people hospitalized with the virus including 159 in an intensive care unit, 91 of whom are on a ventilator. Peel region is reporting 390 new cases, while york and durham regions posted new record numbers of cases with 217 and 108. But the pandemic’s cost in lives continued to climb with 29 deaths.

David williams told breakfast television 25 more people have died. Locally, there are 500 new cases in peel, 410 in toronto and 196 in york region. According to health minister christine elliott, a large portion of the new cases are still coming from ontario's three covid hotspots, with 53 new cases in toronto, 95 in peel and 90 in ottawa.

This is the fourth time the province has reported more than 1,000 cases in a single day this week. According to numbers released by the province on thursday, 47,576 tests were completed.
